Butterfly is my creative design studio and I’m Lynsey Carr, a talented, multi-disciplinary graphic designer with almost two decades of experience. I have delivered innovative, creative and targeted projects for a diverse range of businesses – from multinational software giants, health food manufacturers and boutique hotels to pharmaceutical companies, casino groups, schools and established creative agencies.

I started my career in Scotland, honing my skills as a magazine designer on a number of national newspaper titles such as The Daily Express, The Daily Mirror and The Scotsman before being promoted to Head of Design for Niche Publications at Scottish Media Group. After 10 years working over the border, I moved back to my native North East in 2008, working as senior designer for a leading creative agency.

In 2013 I felt I needed a new challenge, a chance to spread my wings, so I set up Butterfly Creative. And I haven’t looked back since. My role involves everything from managing the design elements of full rebranding projects through to promotional literature and website design.

At Butterfly Creative the goals are simple: make information accessible, memorable and attractive to the end user. I pride myself on having the ability to listen, fulfil client needs and apply my skills to deliver unique concepts that are both engaging and effective, delivered on time and to budget.
